The media world is currently mourning one of its own, Chris Iwarah, who died in a bizarre auto-crash at Mangoro bus stop along Lagos – Abeokuta expressway. The journalist cum lawyer who was the Corporate Communications Manager of Air Peace and a former correspondent with The Sun and Daily Independent newspapers was said to have been returning from work when the accident occurred.

According to eye witness account, Chris Iwarah had parked his car that developed a fault on his way back from work, and was trying to fix the problem, when he was knocked down by a speeding commercial bus that was believed to have had a brake failure. Sadly, he died before he could be taken to the hospital for medical attention.

The news has since gone viral among his media colleagues and friends, many of who expressed deep grief and sorrow over the unfortunate event on their social media pages.
