Acclaimed author of Purple Hibiscus, Americana, Half of a Yellow Sun and The Thing Around Your Neck, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, is bereaved. The Abba, Anambra indigène just lost her father, Prof. James Nwoye Adichie.
The senior Adichie passed on after a brief illness at Chira Memorial Hospital, Awkuzu, Anambra State. He was aged 88.
He was a professor Emeritus of Statistics and Mathematics at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
