Popular chef, OritseGbubemi Fregene more popularly known as ChefFregz and actress Kemi Lala Akindoju, yesterday began their marital journey with a lavish traditional wedding that had the who is who in the entertainment industry. The colourful wedding had on display the flamboyant Yoruba tradition and the regal Itsekiri tradition. Singer Omawunmi was on the band stand dishing out core Itsekiri music to the delight of guests.
Conspicuously missing from the array of guests in attendance was actor, OC Ukeje who is supposedly one of Kemi Lala Akindoju’s best friends. The actor didn’t repost the pictures of her wedding announcement on his instagram page, like most of his colleagues did neither did he congratulate her. A few years ago when OC Ukeje tied the knot, Kemi Lala Akindoju joined his train of grooms men dressed in a well tailored suit.
The relationship of Chef Fregene and Kemi can be considered as one of Nigeria entertainment industry’s best kept secret, second only to that of actress Zainab Balogun. Both actresses didn’t make their relationship public until the day of their traditional marriage.
