The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has arrived Abeokuta to meet with his former boss, President Olusegun Obasanjo. Atiku who was his Vice-President between 1999 and 2007 arrived the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Complex, Abeokuta, at 1.09pm. He was accompanied by the PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus;  his campaign director,  Otunba Gbenga Daniel;  Senator Ben Murray-Bruce; and a former Cross River State governor,  Liyel Imoke, among others. The meeting may not unconnected with Atiku’s presidential ambition in 2019. Leaders from the Yoruba socio-cultural group,  Afenifere, had earlier visited Obasanjo on Tuesday, allegedly to prepare a soft landing for Atiku in Abeokuta, considering the frosty relationship between the two.
