The Senate has suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan for six months following her allegations of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

The decision came after the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions presented its findings and recommendations during Thursday’s plenary session.

As part of the suspension, the committee stipulated that Akpoti-Uduaghan’s salary and security details would be withdrawn for the duration of the penalty.

Additionally, the committee recommended that she be barred from entering the National Assembly premises throughout the suspension period.
