Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 elections, on Wednesday met with Abubakar Malami, the former attorney-general of the federation, AGF and minister of justice.

The politicians met at Malami’s office in Abuja. Malami served as attorney-general from 2015 to 2023.

Yunusa Tanko, interim national coordinator of the Obidient Movement Worldwide, posted pictures of the meeting on X.

“Today, the 25th of June 2025, the Obidient Movement has attracted another senior member into the Obidient Movement,” he wrote.

“This is in his continuation of bridge building and emancipating the Nigerian people from hunger and disdain.”

Tanko said Malami has shown interest in joining the movement but is not a member yet.

The Obidient Movement Worldwide is a grassroots political movement in support of Obi’s presidential ambition.
