Mabel Makun, the estranged wife of comedian and movie producer, Ayo Makun has finally summoned the courage to go public with her man, Idris Aregbe, a senior special assistant to governor Babajide Sanwo Olu of Lagos State on Tourism, Art and Culture.
Although both have been seen in public at events in the past, albeit separately, they both decided to finally put an end to all speculations and show the world that they are indeed a couple with their attendance at the New Year party of Chief Mrs Toyin Kolade, the Iyalaje of Yoruba land.
Speculations that they are a couple began back in 2024 when Mabel held a funeral party for her late mum. Although Idris arrived the venue of the party looking like one of her numerous guests, one could easily deduce from the undercurrent that they were not just mere friends.
From one event to another, they would both arrive separately leaving on lookers guessing. But all that guessing ended at the New Year party where they both arrived together.
Idris Aregebe
Idris used to be married to Dupe Badmus Aregbe, the vice chairman of Oshodi/Isolo local government. Although Idris is a philanderer, sources reveal that his marriage to Dupe allegedly broke down because of his affair with Mabel and how vested he was in her. Ironically, the affair allegedly began while Mabel was still under her husband’s roof.
So far so good, all parties seem to have accepted their fate and settled in nicely. Goodluck to them.
