Nigeria’s second richest man, Abdul Samad Rabiu has expanded his fleet of private jets with the purchase of
Bombardier’s flagship Global 8000 business jet.

The businessman sealed the deal with executives from Bombardier.

The base price for a new Bombardier Global 8000 is around $78 million to $81 million. Bombardier Global 8000 is the fastest civilian aircraft since the Concorde as it covers 1161 kms in an hour It is also a luxurious jet for the business class. Powered by 2 Rolls-Royce Engines.
The new aircraft will join his business’ existing private jets, Challenger 350 and Global 6500, effectively giving his company, BUA group, one of the most modern corporate private jet line-ups owned by a Nigerian company.
The ultra-long-range Global 8000 is designed to fly non-stop from Lagos to New York or Dubai to Houston, a capability that fits neatly with BUA’s expanding footprint across Africa, the Middle East and Europe.
For Rabiu, who runs BUA cement, BUA foods, ports and energy operations, the jet is as much a tool of execution as it is a symbol of status.
