Finally, President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday sent the ministerial list of nominees to the Senate for confirmation. The Senate President, Ahmed Lawan read the list consisting of 43 nominees from the 36 states and Abuja. He noted that the screening of the nominees will commence tomorrow.

While some of them are returning ministers, others are completely new but members of the ruling party. The returning ministers are Chris Ngige – Anambra State, Ogbonnaya Onu – Ebonyi State, Geoffrey Onyeama, Rotimi Amaechi – Rivers State, Babatunde Fashola – Lagos and Lai Mohammed.
