In celebration of the International Women’s Day with the theme, Balance for Better, a former housemate of the Big Brother Naija reality show, Munirat Antoinette Lecky, more popularly known as Antolecky, has paid tribute to some Nigerian women who have inspired her professionally and personally. Antolecky celebrates 10 of Nigeria’s most successful women in different fields by recreating some of their most iconic pictures, using an all female crew.

The International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The good thing about the International Women’s Day is that it doesn’t just end today, it is a year long activity and collaboration. The campaign theme provides a unified direction to guide and galvanize continuous collective action, with #BalanceforBetter activity reinforced and amplified. Balance is not a women’s issue, but a business issue. The race is on for the gender-balanced boardroom, a gender-balanced government, gender-balanced media coverage, a gender-balance of employees, more gender-balance in wealth, gender-balanced sports coverage. In other words, gender balance is essential for economies and communities to thrive.
