Never one to give up on her dreams and ambition, veteran singer and actress, Onyeka Onwenu is once again dipping into the waters of politics as she has announced her intentions to represent her Orlu zone constituency at the Senate come 2019 under the platform of YDP. Onyeka who was appointed the Director General, DG, of the National Center For Women Development by former First Lady, Patience Jonathan before he sack by President Buhari after his assumption of office, is a two time aspirant for the Local Government Chairmanship of Ideato North, Imo State under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. However, after evaluating her political capital, decided to switch to Young Democratic Party (YDP) to realise her senatorial ambition.
