The 2018 edition of the Africa International Film Festival, AFRIFF, which ended on Saturday had South African movies snagging most of the awards at the annual AFRIFF Globe Awards which took place at The Twin Towers in Lagos. A brain child of Chioma Ude, the event, which saw the opening film of the festival, ‘Sew the Winter to My Skin’ nabbing the award for Best Director also handed out awards to two Nigerian movie producers; Stanlee Ohikuare and Adekunle “Nodash” Adejuyigbe, for their movies which won in two different categories. 30 Nigerian films made it to the final list of the 140 films that were screened at the 2018 edition of AFRIFF.
