Former member of the SPICE girl singing group, and fashion designer, Victoria Beckham, is one of several people who Queen Elizabeth will honour in her annual New Year’s honors list for 2017. The 42 year old will be receiving an OBE for her globally renowned, eponymous fashion brand and charity work. An OBE, which stands for Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire award, recognizes individuals who’ve contributed in noteworthy ways to the United Kingdom. Beckham will follow in the footsteps of her husband who accepted the honor 13 years ago. Last, British actors, Eddie Redmayne and Idris Elba were among those who received an OBE last year while James Corden received the royal honor.
