Keexs, an African inspired unisex footwear brand, owned by Jide Ipaye, is set to launch its latest collection, IBILE in a one of a kind arts and style exhibition themed ‘Style and Culture’.

As the name depicts, IBILE means local, native or heritage in Yoruba and is also an acronym for the 5 founding regions in Lagos; Ikorodu, Badagry, Ikeja, Lagos Island and Epe. The event is expected to attract fashion and arts enthusiasts as well as indigenous designers across the continent.

Regarded as the first innovative and social footwear brand in Africa, KEEXS was successfully launched through a global crowd funding campaign in 2015. Since inception, KEEXS has been featured on numerous platforms such as Origin Africa (Madagascar), The African Fashion Week Nigeria, Heineken Lagos Fashion Week, eNCA news, TV5Monde, Ebony Life TV, South African Fashion Week and CNN African Voices.

Inspired by different aspects of the Yoruba and Lagos culture; IBILE is all about  bringing a fresh urban feel to any outfit and evoke nostalgic feelings brought by the typical traditional, western designs infused with epic colours and prints.

The event will feature elements of music, dance and drama by the renowned Ronya Man Arts Company as well as a live art showcase making it the perfect environment for culture, lifestyle and art lovers.
