Wizkid put out the much-awaited album in the early hours of Friday — about two years after he first teased the project to his fans.

In a post on his Twitter page, Saraki described the project as “a brilliant end to what has been an eventful month” for Nigerians. He also said he is currently vibing to ‘Grace’, a track off the album, which he dubbed as his favourite.

“Wizkid’s #MadeInLagos is a brilliant end to what has been a long and eventful month for all of us. Currently vibing to my favorite track on the album ‘#Grace’,” he wrote.

The former governor of Kwara state went on to laud the contributions of Wizkid, Davido and other Nigerian artistes who have continued to promote the country’s entertainment sector.
“Over the years, @Davido has been like a son to me. He, Wizkid and other young Nigerian artistes keep pushing the boundaries in our entertainment sector and making all of us proud!” he added.

Saraki also expressed his expectation ahead of the release of ‘A Better Time’, Davido’s forthcoming album.
“I also can’t wait for David’s album to drop next month! Let’s all celebrate #NigeriaToTheWorld!,” he added.

Wizkid’s 14 track album features the likes of Burna Boy, Skepta, Tems, Tay Iwar, Tems, Ella Mai, H.E.R, Damian Marley and Projexx.

The body of work, which is his 4th studio album, is coming after the success recorded by the singer’s earlier albums — ‘Superstar’, ‘Ayo’, and ‘Sounds from the Other Side.’

Also dubbed Starboy, Wizkid began recording music at the age of 11 and released a collaborative album with the Glorious Five, a group he and a couple of his church friends formed. He signed a deal with Empire Mates Entertainment (EME) in 2009 and rose to prominence after ‘Holla at Your Boy’, the lead single from ‘Superstar’ (2011), his debut studio album.

In 2016, he gained global recognition for ‘One Dance’, his collaboration with Drake, which peaked at number one in 15 countries, including the US, UK, Canada, and Australia.
