A Nigerian, identified as Dauda Onoruoiza, was reportedly among the victims of the Ukraine International Airlines flight 752 crash in Iran on Wednesday.

Recall that Iran admitted after days of denial that its military actually shot down the Ukranian passenger plane. It, however, attributed the incident to human error while apologising to its citizens and families of the victims.

The nationality of passengers and crew aboard the plane were given as 82 Iranians, 63 Canadians, 11 Ukranians, 10 people from Sweden, four from Afghanistan and three from the United Kingdom and Germany respectively.

Dauda Onoruoiza from the central Senatorial District of Kogi State worked with Boeing 737 as a technical officer in West Africa and was based in Lagos. He was reported to be on three months training with company in Ukraine and attached to the Boeing 737-8—o study the mechanical noise and report back as the plane was scheduled for maintenance on Monday 13th January 2020 in Ukrain.

Like other passengers aboard the illfated flight, Onoruoiza did not make it back
