After being drilled for hours by judges on what it takes to run a business, Marvis Marshal-Idio has emerged winner of the third edition of The Next Titan entrepreneurship reality show, beating three other finalists, Sunday Ewolabi, Ronald Ajiboye and Victoria Mamza of Wangerau foods. For winning, Marvis went home with 5 million naira donated by the headline sponsor as well as a brand new car from Cosharis motors, a co-sponsor of the entrepreneurial competition.

Although the finalists had gone through a series of trainings and quizzes during the preliminary stages, the judges, who themselves are seasoned entrepreneurs, again subjected them to an intensive oral test on Sunday. The judges first asked each of the finalists to present their business proposals, after which they were asked to ask one another questions on the proposals. While Marshal-Idio  presented an idea that seeks to turn waste products into furniture and other interior materials, Sunday spoke on his peanut production. Daniel spoke about his dream drone manufacturing business, while Mamza wanted to fly with her specialised catering services project.

On the jury were the Chairman, Nigerian Economic Summit Group,  Mr. Kyari Bukar; Chief Executive Officer, Sahara Group, Mr. Tonye Cole; Chairman/CEO,  CPMS Africa, Chris Parkes; CEO Primera Africa Securities Ltd, Lilian Olubi, with  ‘guest judges’ that included Mrs. Celine Loader, all of who were unanimous in anointing Marshal-Idio’s proposal, as they saw her idea as being unique, specific and dependable.

In its third season, The Next Titan TV Reality Show a 10-week programme is designed to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit of Nigerians, giving an opportunity to young talented Nigerians who fall within the age bracket of 18-39 years with great, innovative and unbeatable business ideas, to compete against one another in real-life entrepreneurial challenges in a bid to ultimately win Five Million Naira and a Brand New Car to start their new business or to support their existing business. Over 50,000 contestants participated in the auditions for the season three. Iroghama Ogbeifun, a passionate and goal-getting entrepreneur was the winner of the season one while  Davies Okeowo, who holds a BSc in Accounting won in the season two.
