Former brother in-law to ex president Olusegun Obasanjo, Kenny Martins has found a way to return to social relevance with his recent alignment with ailing veteran actor, Sadiq Daba. Kenny Martins who used to be the coordinator of the Police Equipment Fund, PEF before he was relieved of his job and thrown into jail for the embezzlement of N7,740,000,000.00 belonging to the Police Equipment Fund, alongside three others, had gone off the social grid as a result of the fraud allegation labeled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. After series of court orders to stop the EFCC from trying him and counter Appeal court rulings from the EFCC, the fraud case eventually died down and nothing more was heard of it. Now Kenny who is a twin with former President Obasanjo’s ex-wife, Taiwo Obasanjo, has found a ready platform to launch himself back to social relevance with the toga of a good Samaritan. He recently donated the sum of N10m to ailing Sadiq Daba for the treatment of his ailment. The former broadcaster who won the Best Actor award for his role as Inspector Waziri in the movie, ‘October 1’, at the 2015 Africa Movie Academy, was diagnosed of prostate cancer months after he had been hospitalised for Leukemia. A number of people had rallied round to raise the required funds to treat the actor’s ailment until Kenny Martins donated half of what was need.
