The 2018 list of world’s highest paid women in music is out. An annual compilation of Forbes magazine, it’s rankings across various spheres of life is regarded as sacred. This year, one of the hardest working women in the game, Katy Perry tops the list pulling in $83 million pretax all from performing at 80 venues on her Witness: The Tour, serving as a judge on American Idol reboot etc.

Coming in second is Taylor Swift pulling in $80 million. The superstar songstress who briefly disappeared from social media last year came roaring back with the launch of new album Reputation, which sold two million copies worldwide in its opening week. Beyoncé rounds out the top three, pulling in $60 million with her groundbreaking performance at Coachella and dropping a joint album with Jay-Z.

Pink is at number four pulling in $52 million while Lady Gaga is at number five with $50 million, all thanks to her movie role, A Star Is Born. Jennifer Lopez makes it to number six with $47 million while Rihanna came in at number 7, polling in $37.5 million majorly from her Fenty Beauty and Savage Lingerie.

Other female musicians who had lucrative years but didn’t quite make the list. include Ariana Grande, Mariah Carey, Selena Gomez, Madonna, Halsey and Janet Jackson, all of whom tallied double-digit millions. They may likely take the top 10 next year.
