Having been away in Abuja on legislative duty for 12 years, it was no wonder that the Lagos social scene was more than happy to welcome home Jumoke Okoya-Thomas when she recently  celebrated her entry into the 60s club at the Oriental hotel, Victoria Island. The party was literarily bursting at its seams judging by the number of A-list personalities drawn from various sectors of the society, that graced the party. With two notable clerics; Pastor J.T. Kalejaiye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, and Pastor Ituah Ighodalo of the Trinity House officiating the thanksgiving service and one of the most sought after MCs, Tunde ‘TeeA’ Adewale steering proceedings at the reception party, it is little wonder that the birthday shindig is still being talked after, long after it ended.

A high-ranking member of the All Progressives Congress Party, APC, Jumoke was a member of the Federal House of Representatives, where she represented Lagos Island Federal Constituency 1 and served for three terms.
