Winner of the 2014 edition of the Miss United Nations (World), Precious Chikwendu, who is married to Nigeria’s former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani Kayode, has lost her mother to cancer. The heavily pregnant Precious took to her Instagram page to announce the demise of her mother. Describing her as her ‘bestie’, she thanked her late mother for her love. Precious’ mother before her death had been living with the deadly disease for the past six years
Likewise, the ex-aviation minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode took to his social media page to pay tribute to his mother in-law, Mrs. Leticia Chikwendu, who died on Monday. Outspoken Femi said that late Chikwendu fought a good fight and stood firm in her faith. In his words, “It is with a heavy heart but in total submission to the will of God that my wife Precious, my son Aragorn and I wish to announce the passing of my mother-in-law, Mrs. Leticia Chikwendu, after a brief illness. Mama was simply wonderful. She has fought a good fight and stood firm in the faith. She has now taken her rightful place in the throne room of heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ. May God be with her and may her soul rest in perfect peace. Sleep on daughter of Zion, until we meet again.”
