Menswear designer and creative director behind the brand VANSKERE, is starting a mentorship programme beginning this weekend. He will be mentoring young designers on how to build a viable fashion brand in these recessive times at his flagship office. He took to his social media to reveal the reason for the mentorship programme and why he is embarking on it now.

Are you a fashion designer or an aspiring one? Then this post is for you ___________ "I started mentoring young designers about two years ago, I discovered that every year the numbers grew, which made it difficult attending to each one separately. So early this year, I thought to myself why not have all of them together in the same place for a day of mentorship, which will be held once or twice a month, depending on my schedule. I discussed it with my PR company and they said it was a laudable idea. So I'm happy to announce our very first inaugural mentorship class, holding this weekend. I'm very excited about this project because I love to inspire, motivate and help young creative people, its something I'm very passionate about. I'm looking forward to seeing my young generation next designers this weekend. To those who can't make it, not to worry hopefully we'll do it again next month, I wish those coming from outside of lagos journey mercies. Hopefully it's going to be fun while we learn from each other." Via @vanskere
