The annual Brit Awards which held at the O2 Arena in London yesterday, saw Disk Jockey, Calvin Harris and The 1975 taking home two awards each. Hosted for the second  consecutive year by comedian and television presenter, jack Whitehall, the awards ceremony had quite a number of celebrities in attendance.

One of the highlights of the ceremony saw music mogul, Beyonce and her husband, Jay Z, receiving their award for Best International Group in a recorded acceptance speech video that paid tribute to Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle, the American who is married to Prince Harry.

The pair flanked a regal portrait of the royal Markle on the wall behind them. After delivering their brief acceptance speech, the two turned to face the portrait, mirroring their famous stance by the Mona Lisa at the Louvre in Paris, France, in their ‘Apeshit’ video.
