Since Edward Enninful took over the affairs of British Vogue as its Editor-in-Chief, the paper has gone through an obvious, albeit, subtle change with its choice of cover personalities and the May issue of the magazine is no different with Edward taking charge of styling. The edition features top models Adut Akech, Faretta, Fran Summers, Halima Aden, Paloma Elsesser, Radhika Nair, Selena Forrest, Victoria Ceretti and Yoon Young Bae. Concerning the cover which features Hijab-wearing model, Halima Aden, Edward says, “One of the great positives of the past few months is the fashion industry finally embracing a concept that has defined my entire working life, diversity. When I say diversity, I want to be clear that it is never just about black and white for me. It is about diversity across board; whether that is race, size, socio-economic background, religion, sexuality etc. That is what I want to celebrate with this cover.”
