With the Black Entertainment awards slated to hold later today, music sensation, Wizkid who is still reeling from the excitement of winning three awards out of his seven nominations at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, has already set the ball rolling with the announcement of his winning at a special ceremony held in Los Angeles on Saturday.

He has been named the Best International Act: Africa. Wizkid out shined his colleagues; Davido, Tekno, and Mr Eazi as well as his contemporaries from other African countries like AKA (South Africa), Babes Wodumo (South Africa), Nasty C (South Africa). This year’s nomination happens to be the first for both Tekno and Mr Eazi after putting out impressive singles in 2016.

The complete list would be announced at a ceremony to be hosted later today by actress and comedienne, Leslie Jones at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. This will be his third BET award as the ‘One Dance’ crooner is a recipient of one already. As of June 2017, he has received a total of 44 awards from 157 nominations.
