Fuji artiste, Adewale Ayuba, is set to present a music museum to the University of Lagos. Ayuba, an alumnus of the institution, said that the gesture would enable him to contribute to the growth of the school. He said this during a courtesy visit to the management of the institution. The chairman, Unilag Alumni, Lagos branch, Dr. Lukumon Adeoti, said there was the need for alumni to develop the university so that it could be ranked with top-notch international universities.

Adeoti, an associate professor with the Department of Geophysics, UNILAG, said the alumni had been engaging members to invest in the academic and infrastructural development of the school. Commending Ayuba, the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Rahmon Bello, noted that in the ranking of higher institutions of learning, the research inputs and makeup of the university’s academia that were trained in different universities in the entire world is often ignored.

Noting that alumni were important catalysts in the development of universities, Bello said the music museum would be utilised for the benefits of lecturers, students and other visiting scholars to the university.
